There are so many notebooks on the market to the point it’s confusing. Where does quality and old-world production values have a chance to wiggle into the hands of journalers and writers alike?

In Baltimore, there’s a little secret that’s fast becoming known:  the artisan notebook makers at Write Notepads & Co. Tucked inside a century-old warehouse in South Baltimore is a skilled team keeping the best of the old traditions alive next to the best of today’s visions for what makes a great notepad/notebook for today’s writing instruments.

Not only does this group make great, unique paper goods, but they donate a notepad to a local student for each one sold. If that won’t make you warm and fuzzy as you sit sipping coffee and writing on the great paper in these notepads, not sure what will!

Each notepad features rugged, letterpress-printed covers (some even frame-worthy once you’ve filled up the pages!), 120 pages of quality brass-ruled paper, complete with minor imperfections inherent in that old-world process, a durable closure band, and 100% made and sourced in the US of A. The paper is very graphite friendly, and with the right nib/ink, works beautifully with fountain pens.

In today’s high-speed, overseas-manufacturing world, not only is using one of these notebooks a great experience, but it’s backing a great effort by Write Notepads & Co. to help ensure writing by hand is still a childhood experience by Baltimore kids. Sounds like a win-win to me.
